As part of the St Andrew's Festival Week celebrations we are welcoming all visitors to the British Golf Museum for free between Thursday 24th November and Sunday 4th December.

Why not take advantage of this opportunity to discover the history of golf, from its origins in the Middle Ages to the celebrations surrounding the 250th Anniversary of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club and The Open Championship held in St Andrews in 2005. There is something of interest for anyone interested in local history or the history of golf and its development over the past 500 years. Enjoy watching rare black and white footage dating to 1904 and get interactive by selecting your favourite Open Championship footage highlights from 1926 until the present day or testing your knowledge on The Rules of Golf. End you visit by dressing up in period golf costume and practicing your putting skills with replica clubs and balls from the last 175 years. The museum is open from 10 am to 4 pm daily. A visit here will make the perfect break from playing golf.
